A Lemke Style Uplocking Reel Seat w/Canarywood Insert for 4 to 6 Wt Fly Rods!

A New, Lemke Style, Uplocking Reel Seat with Canarywood Insert for 4 to 6 Weight Fly Rods!  I was at the local Exotic Wood Store browsing the odds, ends, and drop-off box and came across a piece of Canarywood that had been sawn cross grain.  I bought it, and after I got home with it, cut it into blanks that I could turn for reel seat inserts.  Again, I turned the wood Cross-Grain.  See the pics!  It came out better than I had hoped.  The Uplocking hardware for this reel seat is Polished Aluminum.  The wood for the insert is Canarywood, sometimes just called Canary.  When you show the reel seat, or the finished rod you're going to build to your friends, you can wow them by telling them the  species name in Latin!  It is called Centrolobium, and it is found ranging from Panama to Southern Brazil.  When I turned it, cross grain, the end results were great.  Instead of having lines in the wood, it has swirls, both Upwards and downwards.  At first quick glance you think Barberpole, but it isn't have whirls, it has swirls that are pointing upwards, and downward.  The colors are from pale yellow to a dark reddish brown.  I finished the Insert with Cyano Acrylate, or "Krazy" glue, to make if Shiny, Hard and Durable, and Waterproof.  The inside bore diameter is 27/64, or .421 +/- .005 inch, and the overall length is 4.00 inches.  I think this reel seat would look good on any fly rod, but especially good on a dark brown blank!  Reel Seat will be securely and protectively packaged and shipped USPS First Class Mail!
